Open Netscape, and select Preferences from the Edit menu.

Configuring E-Mail: Identity in Netscape 7.0
To configure your E-mail
select the Mail & Newsgroup button
under the Window menu.
Make sure that you can clearly see the Mail & Newsgroup
window that will pop up once you have clicked on the
Mail & Newsgroup button.
Step 5:
Click once on the Edit Menu and
Select the Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings… option..
Step 6:
The Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings Window should pop up.
Select the Outgoing Server (SMTP) button.
Type in the name of the server
which is mail.pelicancoast.net for Pelican Coast.
After this type in 25 in the text box labeled port.
Type in your user name which is your email address
without the @pelicancoast.net portion.
For example,
type jsmith if your e-mail account is jsmith@pelicancoast.net
Next click the Add Account… button
Step 7:
Select the Email account selection
and click once on the Next button.
Step 8:
After you have completed the last steps you will see a
Your Name space, Enter your name there.
(Example: John Smith)
Then under the Email Address space
type in your Email address.
(Example: jsmith@pelicancoast.net )
Click the Next > button to continue
Step 9:
Next a Windows that should look similar to the one on the
right should appear entitled - Server Information.
Select POP and then in the blank spot next to Incoming Server:
type mail.pelicancoast.net
Click on Next to continue.
Step 10:
The wizard window will continue on to The User Name screen
where you will enter your username.
Your user name will be the first part of your email address
- that is, everything before the @ sign.
Enter your username here and Click Next > to continue
After that you will type in name for your account which can
be anything that you would like it to be.
Click on the Next button to continue
Step 11:
This next window will display the settings that you have
entered you can click Finish now.
They should look similar to the example to the right.
Then you may click OK to exit the settings window.
Step 12: Setting up Multiple
accounts in Netscape 7.0
First, close Netscape (it can't be running during these steps.)
To start the Netscape User Profile Manager:
Open your Start menu
Go to Programs
Select the Netscape 7.0 option entry
Select Profile Manager.
(Note: Netscape must not be running to open Profile Manager.)
Step 13: Setting up Multiple
accounts in Netscape 7.0
To add a profile:
Click Create Profile
Follow the wizard (setup utility) by entering information when prompted and
then clicking Next.
You will be setting up the additional email accounts
directly through this wizard.
Your incoming mail server and outgoing mail
server is mail.pelicancoast.net.
The mail server type is POP3.
Your username is as described earlier, but
don’t forget to use your additional username instead of the main one!
After you complete
the Profile Manager Wizard, a new profile will be available for you to
select “who you are” when you start Netscape.
To see for yourself, exit Netscape and start it again.
