Pelican Coast Acquires Pyramid 3 Internet of Rockport, Texas

We're happy to report that in April, 2004, ACT/Pelican Coast Internet acquired Pyramid 3 Internet Services from Dennis and Georgette Harrison of Rockport, Texas.  Customers of Pyramid 3 will draw the immediate benefit of our enhanced SPAM e-mail filtering system, our nationwide footprint of local access numbers and our High-Speed Turbo Internet Accelerator.  All web site customers will also be moved over to the newly expanded web server system in the corporate offices.

Pelican Coast Opens New Offices in Rockport, Texas

In May of 2004, Pelican Coast moved our Texas offices to 810 Henderson Street in Rockport, Texas to accommodate the expanded staff required to support the influx of new clients.

High-Speed Internet Accelerator available NOW !
Pelican Coast introduces a new high-speed browsing accelerator on all of our access lines effective October 20, 2003.  With our new compression technology, standard phone connections are improved by up to 400-500%.  Special acceleration servers are positioned across the country to provide enhanced performance to Pelican Coast customers using the High-Speed option.  For a limited time, existing Pelican Coast customers can enhance their connections and save 40% on this service.  There's just a simple software program to download and call our office for your special access code.

Upgrade Tech Support Implemented
You complained and we listened.  The tech support service that we had contracted with last year drew a lot of complaints for not answering the phone and not calling back promptly.   We fired that company and brought back the original Texas staff with a new toll-free number.  Tech support hours are 9:00 AM until 10:00 PM Monday through Saturday at 800-290-3130.

New Enhanced SPAM Filter Added
Let's face it, SPAM on the Internet is getting out of control.  We made a significant investment in a new SPAM fighting e-mail system to reduce the garbage that showed up every day in your e-mail boxes.  We also enhanced the web-based e-mail access system to make your life away from your computer easier.  If the first 4 weeks of use, our SPAM filtered identified and kicked out over 50,000 SPAMs destined for our customer mailboxes.

High Speed Internet Via Starband Satellite
We partnered with Starband Internet Satellite services to provide users in remote areas with high-speed broadband connections at affordable prices.  Now you don't have to worry about DSL distance limitations, high cable bills or lack of local access numbers.

ACT acquires 2 Fords Network North
In October, 2002, ACT purchased the 2 Fords Network North facility from John and Linda Ford of Aransas Pass, Texas.  2 Fords customers will join our network as customers of Pelican Coast Internet services in the coming months. They will notice more local access numbers available to more communities with higher line speeds, no busy signals, spam filtering and Internet video conferencing services with their integration into the Pelican Coast network.  Other products that will be introduced to the area include  high-speed DSL access, high-speed Internet satellite services, enhanced e-mail services, and a new, budget friendly pricing program for lite-use customers. In early 2003 we expect to offer on-line computer based training on a wide variety of topics to members of our network.

In the coming months new, enhanced e-mail services will be available to 2 Fords customers through their Pelican Coast membership.  Existing 2 Fords e-mail accounts will remain active.  We've made arrangements with the Fords to keep your accounts active and during the transition you can access you old account and a copy will be forwarded to your new PelicanCoast e-mail address so that you can take advantage of the new e-mail features.

Since 2 Fords Network opened it's doors, the Fords family has stressed personal service and affordable service to their customers.  The Hoffman family of ACT has also grown their business over the last 14 years with a similar emphasis on the personal touch and providing maximum value to it's customers.  We look forward to continuing that tradition and building new and better features into our products to provide the best Internet value to the new members of our community.
